FIRE IT UP’s Craig Langton and his team has decided to go without their Christmas end of the year function and will be using the complete allowance to purchase kids balls and scooters which they and Ignition TV will donate to the Salvation Army Homes for Christmas.

“Balls made sense as one ball can make several kids happy. This year and maybe future years we will be doing this, other companies should follow suit, as the charities certainly need this more than the companies. It’s not a huge offer as we are a brand-new operation with very few staff members but it will surely help with making 500 kids happier for Christmas. We also welcome Ignition TV on board as a joint sponsor,” said Craig Langton.

Giving and social responsibility involvement has always been something that Craig supported over his years in business and FIRE IT UP recently set up a fund-raising program titled 'Paying It Forward' whereas each customer that purchases a motorcycle from them receives a R10 note and is asked to 'Pay It Forward' and donate the R10 to a charity of his or her choice. “We have seen some wonderful examples and initiatives from customers paying it forward, one customer donated his late model superbike at a total cost of R120 000 which was one of the largest donations we have ever had," said Craig Langton.

The hugely successful FIRE IT UP motorcycle giveaway that has been running every month this year was substituted this month for a load of the popular kiddies push and go scooters which were given away free to families who brought in their under 8-year-old kids to the FIRE IT UP show room.

To qualify for the free kid’s bike all the kids had to do is colour in the FIRE IT UP logo, which was available instore, in the FIRE IT UP December adverts and on their web site, this entitled the kids to a free FIRE IT UP scooter and a present from Father Christmas (Craig Langton)

“The promotion was hugely rewarding for us, to see the smile on children’s faces as they were handed a brand-new scooter. Each child was also given a gift pack from Father Christmas as a thank you for putting in the effort and entering the scooter giveaway promotion. It was a great program for the kids and went down well with the moms and dads,” said Craig Langton owner/founder on the FIRE IT UP group.

“Where today would you experience a MD of a company going to the trouble of dressing up in a father Christmas outfit for a good few hours to entertain and hand over the gifts to our kids,” said one of the very impressed fathers.
