INTRODUCING, THE ERIC BUELL RACING OPERATION

Building motorcycles without compromise, it’s been Erik Buell’s dream for more than 30 years. It’s no longer a dream.

“I met the man behind the brand on a recent trip to the States to tie up a deal for Cayenne for the EBR agency,” said Doug Acheson CEO of the Cayenne Group. “He is a very colorful and interesting man and has been there and done it all over the years, not to mention now flying with EBR brand,  it is a perfect association for Cayenne and the EBR brand fits in perfectly with our Cayenne range of brands, our thinking and overall strategy going forward” said Acheson

EBR founder, Erik Buell, was a successful motorcycle racer before becoming a designer and manufacturer. EBR is the definition of the American spirit, offering motorcycles designed and manufactured in the USA, yet featuring superb technology from around the world. While every bolt on an EBR motorcycle is turned in East Troy, Wisconsin, EBR engineers have included global performance into every model.

“We’re starting slowly, building only 100 of our inaugural 1190 RS models.” said Erik Buell a few years back. “After that, we’ll ramp up with more production and other models.”

Look where he is today with EBR.

Perhaps you’d like to be a part of motorcycle history by owning one of the new EBR’s to roll off the line. Maybe you’re just curious to see what they can do with nobody looking over their shoulders. Whatever your interest level, EBR can promise the ballsiest American sport motorcycle ever built.

Before he was a successful engineer/motorcycle designer/motorcycle manufacturer, Erik Buell was a motorcycle racer. And like any good racer, when you get knocked down, you get right back up and start again.

Erik Buell and EBR don’t say much about his past at HD perhaps he is too much the gentleman, there are numerous comments by the international media but not a thing from Buell or EBR. It said that things happen for a reason it certainly did for Erik Buell and EBR

Well Erik is not only back-up now he and the rest of EBR are running hard and fast.

“We think like racers, making decisive, aggressive and calculated decisions. But we also think like passionate riders. We make bikes that we want to ride. Most of all, we feed off Erik and his fire-in-the-gut passion to build fast, magnificently engineered motorcycles,” said Edwin Belonje MD EBR Europe.

After the huge success of the EBR 1190 RX launch and sales worldwide, Cayenne announced that their first shipment will be the popular EBR 1190 RX model which will land at the end of August at a listed launch price of R 189 900 for a limited period only

More than three decades of racing, engineering, and manufacturing experience goes into every EBR made the 2014 EBR 1190 RX is no exception it has been built from start-to-finish with pride, joy and a relentless passion to bring you another world-class sport bike from the heart of America.

While this new, street-legal high performance motorcycle is a direct descendant of EBR’s race-bred limited edition 1190 RS Super Bike, the 1190 RX features many new rider-focused features and has substantially raised the bar over competitive sportbike offerings. Most notably, the new motorcycle weighs-in at just 190 kg, yet boasts 185 horsepower at 10 600 rpm and peak torque from its ET-V2 1190 cc V-Twin engine at 8200 rpm Few, if any other production motorcycles have ever produced this level of peak torque. The 1190 RX’s wide torque band assures riders that ample power is available in every gear, and 21 traction control settings keep the power within the rider’s control in all road conditions. Aside from boasting the broadest torque band, the new engine delivers a combined highway/city fuel economy of over 17km per litre.

The breakthrough engine design and EBR’s racing-inspired handling features are coupled with all-new styling and scientifically-derived aerodynamics that rival the performance and ride ability of any superbike produced by any manufacturer in the world. The multi-function digital instrument gauge cluster allows the rider to adjust performance parameters such as traction control, as well as to access numerous functions including track performance data, service intervals and system diagnostics.

“We have structured a great package for the new EBR 1190 RX Superbike t will include our MFC financial package consisting of a guaranteed buy back, free Service for the life of the EBR, no deposit, free licence and registration, a residual, our normal great trade in prices, plus our recent addition, the finance for all accessories from our new Cayenne Accessory operation “said Craig Langton DP for the Cayenne Group.

“We have researched the cost and chatting to customers on buying a complete new outfit when they buy a new motorcycle or if they want a complete makeover, it’s quite a costly outlay, it can now all be included in the finance package,” said Langton.
