Liqui Moly announced this week that they will be sponsoring the Team Rhide SA for the 2015 Dakar that kicks off in January next year. The two man team will consist of Brian Baragwanath multiple SA quad national and Offroad champion and Hannes Saaijman winner of the Q2 Class Challenge this year.
Brian has almost won everything there is to win in South Africa taking new titles year after year in the quad category in the SA Nationals, SA National Offroad, local Pro events and a top finish in the AMA ATVA Nationals in the USA.
Both riders will tackle the tough DAKAR event for the first time and have done their homework, research and a mammoth amount of preparation and training with lots more to come down the line before they leave.
“I always wanted to compete in the DAKAR this is one event that has always been on my to do bucket list the same applies to Hannes and in 2015 it’s all going to happen, we have spent months preparing and it’s all coming together nicely with some great very generous sponsors and partners such as Melicia Labuschagne GM of Liqui Moly SA, hopefully there will be more coming on board before the end of the year, as just the entry fee for this event cost a fortune.” said Brian Baragwanath
The Team Rhide SA is riding for the SA Rhino’s to create international awareness over the rhino poaching epidemic in South Africa. The Team also chose the Rhino as a South African emblem to proudly represent their and all South Africans feelings for the Rhino poaching in the country.

The team’s goal is to win the 2015 Dakar Rally in the quad category, for worldwide awareness to SAVE THE RHINO in South Africa.
