Cayenne World adds yet another great brand to their exotic blue chip collection with the announcement of their latest new brand- the Zero Electric motorcycles from the USA.
The Zero operation is one company that has got the electric motorcycle one hundred percent right and have developed the perfect electric motorcycle package.
For just over 2 years now, Craig Langton – Sales Director Co-Owner of the Cayenne Group has been working on an innovative concept to make motorcycling the commuting a very affordable option. After a huge amount of hard work the deal is finally done and Cayenne has been appointed the official importer of ZERO Electric motorcycles the perfect commuter for South Africans. The innovative plan does not stop there either; watch this space for the arrival of the new Zero’s early May.
Craig realised that South Africans are true petrol heads and love their cars and big noisy superbikes, cruisers and adventure bikes, he also stated that these guys can keep their motorcycles and cars for the weekends and the cars for the wet weather and still save thousands of Rands by commuting on a Zero electric motorcycle, powerful enough to out accelerate anything on the road today, any car or Superbike will struggle to beat a Zero off the mark, or 0 to 80 km/hr, a top end of 165 km/hr, the Zero’s are also a real blast to ride, enjoying a range of up to 250 km’s plus on one charge, they can be charged anywhere from your normal household plug or at the office, an overnight charge is recommended but one could be on ones way with a 2 hour charge. The best part of the Zero/Cayenne offer is it’s cheaper to own and run than the cost of your monthly fuel bill for a car or a medium to large motorcycle.
“We recently met with the new MD of Zero Motorcycles USA, the legend Pieter de Waal, ex CEO of BMW motorcycles America and the same guy that turned BMW motorcycles around in South Africa many years ago, Peter retired recently from BMW USA and was then offered the post at Zero,” said Craig Langton. He openly admits, “I love my Zero and prefer it to all my motorcycles, once you have ridden a Zero Motorcycle you can’t get off it. I have never had so much Fun!”
Pieter also went on to say that, he’s delighted he did not have to compete with Cayenne Group in his time with BMW South Africa as it would have been a real challenge keeping up with such a dynamic operator. He was also very pleased to be part of the Cayenne family and would be utilizing the new Cayenne strategy for Zero offices worldwide.
The new Cayenne Zero package is a real no brainer if you are looking for an affordable commuter, who wouldn’t think about purchasing and commuting on a ZERO Electric motorcycle. Imagine never filling up again! A critical part of making this innovative technology available at an affordable price and bringing this innovative product to market is Cayenne’s finance partner, MFC a division of Nedbank limited. Nedbank are well known for supporting ‘Green’ initiatives and were excited to support the new Zero launch which will be happening next month.
