The new 2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally is a radically new version of the super technological Caponord 1200, a motorcycle that breaks down the confines of paved roads to become even more transversal and suitable for any trip, no matter what terrain.
Craig Langton the Sales Director of Aprilia SA and co-owner of the Cayenne Group proudly presented the new Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally to his sales team and selected customers after its arrival in South Africa. “The new Aprilia offers a level of adventure that is difficult to compete with,” said Langton. “The motorcycle displays the latest Bosch electronics and a level of performance to complement the motorcycles beauty and comes complete with the following.”
New spoked rims with an important 48 cm front wheel, new hard panniers with aluminum covers, a 24 litre fuel tank, new oversized windshield, new engine guards, and supplementary LED lights.

The high performance of the 1200 cc V-twin is a perfect match for the exceptional chassis features typical of all Aprilia motorcycles, as well as the technological content such as Ride-by-wire with three engine maps, traction control, cruise control and ABS which can be disengaged.”
Caponord 1200 Rally tackles any route intelligently in fact; this crossover has the exclusive and patented semi-active ADD (Aprilia Dynamic Damping) suspension system, a highly advanced dynamic control system developed in-house by Aprilia, which sets new global benchmarks for the motorcycle industry in terms of technology, efficacy and reliability, a system capable of "reading" the road, recognising the rider's riding style and automatically adjusting the suspension set up.
Added to all this is the ATC (Aprilia Traction Control) adjustable to three levels which can also be switched off. It does not end there the ACC (Aprilia Cruise Control) is also standard, plus the outstanding reinforced panniers, an adjustable oversized windshield, hand guards, side guards/crash guards. A pair of supplementary LED lights, spoked wheels with 120/70R19 tyres up front and 170/60R17 on the rear, heated grips and Brembo brakes.
The exclusive ADD software uses skyhook algorithms and acceleration driven damping strategies, which are the industry standards for the automotive world. This has made it possible, for the first time ever, to attain superlative levels of performance in the forks and shock absorber frequency ranges.
With the Caponord 1200 Rally's ADD system, however, all the rider has to do is ride.
