ktm gp 1The UKGP ended on a feeling of resurgence for Red Bull KTM teams as Pedro Acosta gunned his KTM RC16 to 6th position at a windy, cool and changeable Silverstone for the seventh round of 2025 MotoGP. The Spaniard collected 10 points after a determined comeback from 14th on the grid. An entertaining Moto3™ outing ended with Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Jose Antonio Rueda starring in a last-to-first charge for win #5 of 2025.

The 5.9km length and 18 corners of Silverstone was complicated further for 20 long laps of the United Kingdom Grand Prix. Late spring British weather varied between heavy showers in the morning to blue skies and fluctuating temperatures. MotoGP warm-up was run on a wet track but the gusts helped to dry the course.

ktm gp 2

All four KTM RC16 riders had to opt for the best tire choice to cope with the (normally) high consumption at Silverstone. They also had to throttle hard to obtain positions on the first laps while preserving optimum grip for the full distance.

Pedro Acosta made the most progress. He surged up to the battle for 5th but then missed the necessary traction on acceleration to enter a close podium tussle. Maverick Viñales, Brad Binder and Enea Bastianini had their own adventures with varying levels of effective feedback from the rubber. Viñales persevered until the edge of the top ten, finishing 12th. Binder was 15th and he at least secured the final point. Bastianini had to complete a Long Lap penalty for an infraction at the last race in Le Mans and spent the race trying to catch-up the rest of the pack.

MotoGP heads back to Spain for the second time this season and into the weave of corners and speed that is the MotorLand Aragon circuit for the Grand Prix of Aragon in two weeks.

Pedro Acosta, 6th and 9th in the championship standings: “A good race after all but a bit exasperated because we are losing a lot of grip. When you have the pace and you cannot overtake then it’s frustrating. I did overtake a lot of people at the start, even though it was messy! We have to improve and for Aragon we will also have a test which is important.”

Maverick Viñales, 12th and 12th in the championship standings:“A lot of issues this weekend and not much luck. I had the rhythm to be fighting in the top five but starting in 18th means a lot more fighting and in only a few laps I lose six-seven seconds and that’s the race. This track is very unique and grip on corner exit is not our strength: you need it here. We need to forget this track and concentrate on Aragon now because this was not our potential here. I have faith in the bike we have – In Le Mans and Jerez we were quite fast - and we must improve the details.”

ktm gp 5

Brad Binder, 14th and 14th in the championship standings: “A tough weekend for us here in Silverstone. Qualifying was difficult, we didn’t finish the Sprint and the race today was also tough. I got a good start before the red flag and didn’t on the second start. I struggled with confidence and to know where I could push and where I couldn’t. As soon as I started to feel OK then I would have some ‘moments’. It’s hard at the moment. We need to figure things out a little bit and step-up for Aragon.”

hrc mx 1Just 112 days after exiting the AMA Supercross series with a torn ACL, Honda HRC Progressive rider Jett Lawrence returned to action for the opening AMA Pro Motocross round in Pala, California, where he extended his flawless overall-win record at Fox Raceway to eight (five in 250, three in 450), via an impressive premier-class moto sweep. Also returning from a layoff (his due to a shoulder injury) was Hunter Lawrence, who tallied a 3-4 score for third overall. Meanwhile, the 250 class saw Jo Shimoda turn in an impressive 2-2 ride for second overall, while Chance Hymas showed impressive speed all day and finished fourth overall.

hrc mx 2

On a track that developed deep ruts and technical lines throughout the day, the Lawrence brothers showed poise and composure in their return to racing. Jett and Hunter nailed their moto 1 starts aboard their CRF450RWE race machines, exiting turn 1 first and second, respectively. Jett went wire-to-wire to win by 11.482 seconds over Justin Cooper, with Hunter a solid third. Hunter went on to rip a huge moto 2 holeshot before Jett quickly took over. Eli Tomac moved into second early and engaged in a legendary battle with Jett, who held off the “Beast Mode” challenges the entire 37 minutes and 4 seconds to take an emotional win. Hunter defended third place from Aaron Plessinger for most of the race, only to relinquish the position when he made an error on the final lap, though his fourth place was good enough for third overall.

hrc mx 3

Hymas grabbed the 250 moto 1 holeshot board his CRF250RWE and, after briefly losing the lead, ran at the front until a lap-6 tip-over cost him a couple spots. Shimoda sat in fourth after lap 1 and then lost a position, but he came on strong in the second half of the race to notch a solid second-place result, one ahead of Hymas. Moto 2 saw the Japanese racer once again complete lap 1 in fourth place and mount a charge midway through, for a second-place result and second overall. Hymas suffered a terrible start but rode well and advanced steadily from 14th on lap 1 to sixth at the finish, for fourth on the day.

hrc mx 5

Jett Lawrence

“With everything we’ve gone through, with injuries and having to deal with the mental battle, and my body not handling the pain killers very well—I had all that emotion, and I was thinking, ‘I can’t wait for Pala—I want to win.’ I have a good circle of people around me, and they all backed me in difficult moments. This is a reward not just for me, but for them. It was good to be back out there again and get that adrenaline rush.”

hrc mx 6

Hunter Lawrence

“Pretty average day. I’m happy, and we’ll take it. Coming back from an injury, you never really know. For sure I had more outdoor prep than in years prior, but it’s just a race-pace thing—it’s tough to just jump back in. Me and AP [Aaron Plessinger] battled the whole second moto, and then I made a small mistake on the last lap and he was right there to capitalize on it. That was a punch in the gut, but it was good—a lot to build on.”

The Honda Montesa rider overcomes the difficult terrain to take third place.

Mobility Resort Motegi was the setting for the eleventh and twelfth rounds of the Trial2 World Championship season this weekend. Saturday’s heavy rain left some very difficult sections for the riders on the second day of competition. Just as he did on the previous day, Miquel Gelabert managed to place on the rostrum at Honda’s home round.

HRC E 2

The RTL Electric rider started the day by dropping several fives, as the slippery rocks and muddy sections posed a tough challenge. But as the event progressed, he gained confidence with the bike and improved his performance in front of the Japanese fans. Tied with one of his main rivals, Harry Hemingway, on a total of 35 points and just one point behind the leader, Gelabert finished the first race in third place, earning him 15 points in the overall standings.

For the second race, the conditions and the difficulty of the sections remained the big factor. However, despite a difficult start, he produced his best performance to salvage fourth. After stringing together several zeros midway through the race, a couple of errors in the final sections relegated him to fourth place when he was fighting for the win. However, in the end the Honda Montesa rider finished fourth in the second race of the day, third in the combined and his second podium of the weekend.

HRC E 3

After third and fourth places on Day 2, Gelabert maintains third place in the championship standings with a total of 162 points. The Honda rider will compete at the French Trial GP from May 30th to June 1st in Calvi, Corsica.

HRC SAFFARI 01South African Safari Rally kicks off with challenging prologue near Sun City

The new South African Safari Rally roared to life today with a short but demanding 9km prologue near Sun City, setting the stage for the Monster Energy Honda HRC riders.

The course, composed of 60% gravel and 40% black turf, a hallmark of South African terrain, proved anything but easy. Despite the brief distance, the prologue played a crucial role in determining the starting order for tomorrow’s first stage and the mixed surface kept riders on their toes.

HRC SAFFARI 02

After clinching every prologue victory in the rallies he competed in last year, all eyes were on Tosha Schareina to see if he could take his second prologue win of 2025.  With the timed action completed in just over seven minutes, a few mistakes cost the Spaniard the win by just four seconds, with Daniel Sanders claiming the top spot.

Ricky Brabec, more accustomed to desert racing, likened the course to a grass track, far from his preferred conditions and trailed the leader by 14 seconds. Frenchman Adrien Van Beveren followed closely, just one second behind Brabec, as he navigated the tight, freshly cut grass sections. Meanwhile, Skyler Howes finished eighth overall, nearly 30 seconds off the lead, after some early confusion caused by tractor markings and a constant battle with the slippery terrain.

HRC SAFFARI 04

Looking ahead to stage one, the riders will tackle a demanding 557km route aboard their Honda CRF450 RALLY machines, with 262km counting as the timed special stage. As they leave Sun City behind and head into dense woodland, they’ll face a fresh set of challenges, navigating through trees, thick shrubs and tall grasses that promise to test both skill and focus.

HRC MOTO 1The Honda RC213V was back on the top step of the podium thanks to Johann Zarco with Luca Marini close to the top ten in a dramatic race. Joan Mir heads for further checks after a heavy fall.

Rain just before the start of the 27-lap French GP once again sent much of the MotoGP World Championship into a last-minute flurry as riders and teams assessed the possibilities of wets or slicks. Having shown strong pace in a wet Warm Up, both Honda HRC Castrol riders were eager to start and show their speed.

HRC MOTO 2

With the rain coming and going, the entire MotoGP field dove into the pits after the warm up lap and triggered a red flag and quick restart. Beginning on wets, Marini would switch to slicks on the second lap of the now 26 lap French GP. But continually changing conditions meant the #10 would be back in on lap eight to return to wets. From here, Marini matched the pace of the top five as he picked his way through the field. Crossing the line in 11th, he collected yet more points and sits 13th in the World Championship standings, just a single point behind Bezzecchi.

Joan Mir was utterly luckless in the race, caught up at the first chicane with Bagnaia, Zarco and Bastianini. Falling heavily, the 2020 MotoGP World Champion was taken to local hospital for further checks. Suffering a fracture in his right hand and neck pain, his condition will be updated in the following days.

HRC MOTO 3

It was home hero Johann Zarco who stole the day as he returned the Honda RC213V to the top step of the podium for the first time since the 2023 Americas GP. The Honda LCR rider sent the record-breaking French crowd into a frenzy and has written an unforgettable moment in the history of Honda HRC.

With the weekend’s results, Honda now move to second in the Constructor World Championship, nine points clear of KTM.

KTM GP 1

The 2025 MotoGP season continues to bloom for KTM’s factory effort at the highest level of FIM world championship competition. A record-breaking 311,000 fans loaded the spectator areas at Le Mans for a chaotic wet French Grand Prix and saw Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pedro Acosta take 4th for his best result of the campaign and Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Maverick Viñales finish 5th. Jose Antonio Rueda‘s last corner attack led to his fourth Moto3™ victory of 2025 with the KTM RC4 and extend his advantage at the peak of the championship.

Le Mans maintained its fantastic bulge of spectators, excitement and anticipation for the third and final day of the French Grand Prix and an exciting race program. In contrast to a sunny and bright Saturday, the Sarthe skies were cloudy and showery, which created upheaval for the premier class. Despite the climate, the large crowd still gathered en masse for the outing that brings the series beyond the quarter mark for the 2025 campaign.

KTM GP 2

Red Bull KTM slotted three riders onto the first five rows of the start grid for the 27-lap affair around the famous 4.1km Bugatti layout, which forms part of the hallowed 24hr course. Maverick Viñales in P5 was followed by Pedro Acosta in P12, Brad Binder in P13 and then Enea Bastianini P18. The weather created some uncertainty and watchful looks at the sky and radar systems. Morning Warm-up was soaking but Le Mans was kind enough to Moto3 and Moto2 to provide a dry track. Rainfall again caused indecision when MotoGP took to the grid. The new rule system for race starts came into play as the GP was briefly delayed and riders changed from wet to dry machines. Viñales and Acosta then reentered pitlane for a second time inside the first five laps of the reduced 26-lap distance to exchange bikes with wet settings as more showers arrived.

KTM GP 3

When the race finally settled into a rhythm in the wake of motorcycle swaps and double long lap penalties, Acosta was able to keep steady and try for the podium, running P3 until his rear tire choice proved to be a drawback, dropping him to P4 and Viñales made it home in P5. Bastianini slipped off twice and also had two long lap penalties. The Italian kept motoring and finished P13. Binder crashed into Turn 14 and then again shortly afterwards in Turn 1 to end his day early.

MotoGP’s blend with heritage, and the challenge of world-renowned circuits flows into the sixth date of the year with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in two weeks.

Pedro Acosta, 4th and 9th in the championship standings: “Wrong tire today. The start was OK, the comeback was OK and the rhythm in the wet also, but when there was more water on track suddenly it was a mess and the grip was not there. It was super-difficult to understand why the first sector was so slippery and the rest was quite OK! We survived. Generally, a positive weekend but we’re quite sad. We go to the next one.”

KTM SX 1SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Tom Vialle has successfully defended his 250SX East title in the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship following tonight's title-deciding final round of the season, on a night where Chase Sexton also raced to his seventh 450SX victory of the year at Salt Lake City's Rice-Eccles Stadium.

At 24 years of age, Vialle adds a second AMA Supercross title to his resume onboard the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, in addition to the pair of MX2 World Championships that he earned in 2020 and 2022. After an incredibly hard-fought season this year, Vialle demonstrated a never-give-up spirit, with his fighting mentality ultimately sealing the title.

KTM SX 2
Originally from Avignon, France, Vialle relocated to the U.S. ahead of the 2023 season, where he made a highly-anticipated American Supercross debut and gained experience in the stadium-based discipline, before charging to a maiden 250SX East Championship in 2024.

Since then, Vialle has pieced together convincing indoor and outdoor campaigns as part of the wider SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX), becoming a title contender in each series. This year’s 250SX East division championship didn’t come easily, however, as the defending champion began the opening two rounds at Tampa and Detroit outside of the podium positions.

KTM SX 3
Second-place results at the following two rounds in Daytona and Indianapolis, followed by third in Birmingham, initially earned Vialle the red plate, before the torrential rain in Foxborough resulted in a troubled 22nd-place result. P6 in Philadelphia and third on the podium at East Rutherford were then followed by a pivotal victory in Pittsburgh, putting him back in the title hunt upon regaining the points lead, with a dramatic P3 at Utah's 250SX Showdown sealing the championship.

Vialle and the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team will now focus on the upcoming AMA Pro Motocross Championship, which commences at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, on Saturday, May 24th.

Tom Vialle: "I can’t believe this, to be honest! I got a good start behind Haiden [Deegan], and I was feeling good, then I started to make a couple of mistakes, and both Seth [Hammaker] and RJ [Hampshire] got me, so then I was about five seconds back. I saw them both down in the corner, and I couldn’t believe it – I thought, ‘This is crazy!’ There were still about four laps to go, and I just did it from there to clinch the title. The speed was really high this year from everyone and I lost a lot of points in the mud at Foxborough, but overall I just tried to stay steady, and that’s what paid off in the end. I came to the United States to win Supercross titles, so to have two now is insane! Two championships are hard to win, so this feels really good to achieve this with the whole Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team.”

KTM SX 4

In 450SX, Chase Sexton powered to the fastest qualifying time equipped with the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION in Salt Lake City, beginning his title quest in the best possible fashion on the dry, slick Rice-Eccles Stadium track surface.

An important Heat Race victory set up the number 4 strongly for the Main Event, in which Sexton made fast, decisive moves to hit the front of the pack, clearing out to a 10-second margin of victory and claiming his seventh 450SX win of the series. As a result, he was credited second position in the standings after what was an inspired season-long fight until the very end across a 17-round duration.

KTM SX 5
Sexton opened the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship by claiming his first Anaheim 1 victory, quickly followed by winning the Glendale Triple Crown. In finishing on the podium a total of 12 times and collecting an additional five wins, the 2023 450SX Champion pieced together one of his most impressive seasons to date – just two points shy of the crown in the end.

Chase Sexton: "Today, I think I did everything that I could’ve done. Obviously, we came up short on the championship, which is a bummer and it’s a tough pill to swallow, but Cooper [Webb] had a great season. We were able to achieve seven race wins this year, and throughout the season I became a much more complete rider, having learned from some of my mistakes, so I’ll take that and head into the outdoors. I am proud of what we were able to achieve together with the team and am happy to beat my personal season win record with seven this year.”

Teammate Aaron Plessinger – who this week was announced to have re-signed with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing for 2026 – picked up a popular victory in the second 450SX Heat Race of the night onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, earning ‘The Cowboy’ an ideal gate selection for the final Main Event of the year.

Another holeshot followed by a conservative ride saw Plessinger race to a sixth-place result, completing the championship in sixth overall, and delivering five podium finishes alongside a second-career victory in the Foxborough mud.

KTM SX 6
Aaron Plessinger: "Salt Lake City was a pretty good race. I struggled to find a setting that worked for me in qualifying, but by the time we got to the Heat Race, it was working awesome! I got a holeshot there and won the thing, which was good. Holeshotted again in the Main, but I saw that I was around both Coop and Chase, and panicked a bit – I doubled the whole way down a rhythm lane and lost a lot of positions, then struggled to recover from there. That was my night in Salt Lake, but it's time to regroup and head outdoors. We'll be going for it!"

DENVER, Colo. – A sixth victory of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship season tonight in Denver has enabled Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Chase Sexton to climb to within nine points of the 450SX points lead with a single round remaining in the series. In 250SX West, Julien Beaumer returned to the podium in what was a well-earned second-place finish.

Sexton charged to the fastest qualifying time onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, clearing the field by over one second as he quickly acclimated to the track layout situated within the Empower Field at Mile High stadium.

ktm sx 2
A convincing Heat Race victory set up the number 4 well for the Main Event, with 2023 champion Sexton wasting no time in getting to the front, racing to a decisive 10-second victory at the 16th round of the season, and capturing valuable points towards his championship aspirations.

Chase Sexton: "I was pretty fired up from the first lap of the Main Event after we all got a bit close during the first rhythm lane. At that point, I just wanted to get to the lead, and I knew that I could run some good laps, so getting out front and breaking away was my goal. I made an aggressive move by my standards on [Cooper Webb], but we're both going for a championship and have a lot of respect for each other. At the same time, we both really want to win."

450SX teammate Aaron Plessinger powered his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to the fourth-fastest qualifying time in the afternoon, before racing to a second-place finish in his Heat Race in what was his first visit to Denver.

A steady ride by ‘The Cowboy’ in the Main Event saw Plessinger commence the race in P5, which is a position he would hold throughout the duration of the encounter, with a welcomed top-five performance the end result.

ktm sx 3
Aaron Plessinger: "This was my first time in Denver, and it was tough! I had an exceptional qualifying, but after that, I struggled. If you know me, I'm more of a soft dirt kind of guy, so the conditions here were challenging. I still got a top-five out of it, so I can't really ask for a whole lot more – we're here and in the fight with the team, we turned the season around, and have one to go in Salt Lake."

Equipped with the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, Beaumer arrived in Colorado with a laser-focused mentality, posting the fastest time in combined qualifying, before an early race fall in his Heat Race saw the number 23 move up the order from 16th to sixth position.

A mid-field start saw Beaumer’s work cut out for him in the 250SX West Main Event, however, a determined ride saw the teenager charge his way through the field, relentlessly pursuing the front as he eventually finished in a well-earned second place. He's currently P3 in the standings entering next week's finale.

Stefano Manzi completed a stunning double victory in front of his home crowd in Cremona on Sunday with a clever win in WorldSSP Race 2.

The result marked the first double win for the new Yamaha R9, but it wasn’t easy for Manzi from the second row of the grid. After taking his second win of the season on Saturday, Manzi was keen not to rest on his laurels and got a strong start from the front row. However, it was former Moto3 World Champion Jaume Masia who led most of the race, pulling a gap of almost a second over Manzi up until four laps to go.

yam sbk 2

However, determined as ever, Manzi hunted Masia down before launching an attack for the lead in the final couple of laps. The Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing rider’s trademark aggressiveness making for an exciting end to the race. Taking the lead for the final time on the last lap, Manzi was able to pull a gap in the second half of the lap to cross the line to take a third win of the year, extending his championship lead to an impressive 44 points after four rounds.

Lucas Mahias took fourth for GMT94 Yamaha, while class rookie Aldi Satya Mahendra continued his impressive start to the season with tenth for Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Racing.

yam sbk 3

Twice a winner this year, Can Öncü (Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Racing) had run at the sharp end early in the race before rueing a decision to run the harder front tyre as he dropped through the order before unfortunately retiring with a technical issue.

2024 Japanese Superbike Champion Yuki Okamoto (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing) scored his first points of the season in 14th, bouncing back from a challenging Saturday at Cremona. Michael Ruben Rinaldi finished 20th on the second GMT94 Yamaha.

The series continues at Autodrom Most, Czech Republic in two weeks’ time.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia has delivered a spectacular performance in front of his home crowd at round two of the 2025 FIM EnduroGP World Championship, securing a flawless double victory in Enduro1 and a commanding EnduroGP win on Saturday. Racing on Spanish soil, Garcia delivered world-class speed and control aboard his KTM 250 EXC-F over the weekend, ultimately claiming the EnduroGP points lead.

After storming to victory in Friday night’s Super Test, Garcia came into Saturday’s racing full of confidence and immediately stamped his authority on the event by topping the first two tests. A small mistake in the first Cross Test enabled his rivals to close the gap, but Josep proved his speed in remarkable style by going fastest in all six of the day’s remaining tests and securing the overall win by close to 50 seconds.

ktm end 2

Torrential rain overnight and into the morning brought fresh challenges on Sunday with a delayed start, altered schedule, and water-logged terrain. Garcia adapted quickly, once again setting the early pace and holding the lead for much of the day. A costly error in the penultimate test saw Garcia’s lead slashed to just 0.06 seconds heading into the final Cross Test. Despite giving his all, Josep posted a time just under 1.5 seconds shy of eventual day two winner Andrea Verona and was forced to settle for second place overall.

Disappointed to miss out on the EnduroGP class win by such a narrow margin, Garcia still dominated the Enduro1 class on Sunday, topping the category by over 30 seconds. His strong weekend in Spain saw him move to the top of the EnduroGP standings while also extending his Enduro1 points advantage.

ktm end 3

Round three of the 2025 FIM EnduroGP World Championship takes place in Skovde, Sweden, on 23-25 May.

Josep Garcia: “To be honest, it was a perfect weekend of racing for me. It feels great to have my fitness back and to be racing at 100%. Yesterday everything went perfectly and I was able to take the win with a big advantage. Today, I was really enjoying riding in the mud and was leading for most of the day and built up a big gap of about 30 seconds. Then in the cross test, I jumped a container and clipped my foot on the top and ended up going over the bars. It was tough not to take the win today, but I finished second overall, first in the class with good points, and now look ahead to the next round.”
