Day1 more than positive for the rider of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team who is the fastest in Austria. P11 for Luca Marini at the limits of the Top10
Spielberg (Austria), August 18th 2023 – Marco Bezzecchi signs the new Spielberg track record and closes the Day1 of the Austrian GP with the absolute best lap time. Fast from the morning free practices, the rider of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team takes his Ducati Desmosedici GP to P1. A more complicated day for Luca Marini, in P11 in the afternoon standings and currently out of tomorrow's Q2.
Despite some difficulties at the end of the session, Marco imposed his pace and sets a superb 1'28.533, a lap time which means the provisional pole position and the direct access into Q2.
26 thousandths from the Q2 instead for Luca (1'29.186), not completely at ease with the front hard tire and working to close the gap from the strongest guys.
