Bitter Sunday for Fabio Di Giannantonio, who crashed in the German GP while he was fighting for the podium. Franco Morbidelli didn’t take part to the race following yesterday’s crash.
Unlucky German GP for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, which competed in Sunday’s race with only Fabio Di Giannantonio, who crashed while he was in second place. Franco Morbidelli went back to Italy to further assessments on his left shoulder following Saturday’s heavy crash in the Sprint.

Di Giannantonio started from the seventh place on the grid and made an excellent start from the third row in the Sachsenring race, immediately putting himself in the fight for the lead. Fabio showed a strong pace in dry conditions until he crashed at Turn 1 on lap thirteen, while running in second place. The Roman rider keeps the fourth place in the World Standings with 142 points.
Morbidelli didn’t take part to Sunday’s race following a heavy left shoulder contusion he had in Saturday’s crash. The X-ray examinations carried out so far have not been sufficient to complete the diagnosis: no bone fractures have been detected, but it is necessary to assess the condition of the soft tissues. A further check-up is scheduled tomorrow in Italy.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is back on track in few days for the second back-to-back race weekend. MotoGP will race in Czech Republic for the twelfth round of 2025, the last one before the summer break.
